The University of Bayreuth is a research partner for companies developing hightech products, and works with the renowned Fraunhofer Society on innovative projects. Within the Elite Network of Bavaria, the University of Bayreuth coordinates the Master’s programs in Macromolecular Science and Global Change Ecology, as well as the doctoral programs in Lead Structures of Cell Function and Structure, Reactivity and Properties of Oxide Materials; the University is also a partner in five further elite programs. The University of Bayreuth attracts an exceptionally high number of international researchers, and boasts the highest number of Alexander von Humboldt scholars per professor among Germany’s universities.
