Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt

» Research

Central and Eastern Europe as well as Latin America are focal points of research at KU, complete with their historical, cultural, and political development. Research in these fields is interdisciplinary and integrated in central institutes, as is the focus on “Marriage and Family in Society.” Additionally, KU maintains a proud tradition in teacher education. The university emphasizes research in didactics and the transmission of knowledge in a wider sense. This includes didactical methods for different types of school, but also the transmission of knowledge in adult education in general and in on the job training in particular.

The research most relevant to matters of the economy is conducted in Ingolstadt. Main topics include service management, production, and international management. The university’s small size furthers interdisciplinary cooperation not only in institutes and other research associations, but also ad hoc in certain fields, as in the cooperative relationship between information systems and service management.
