Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt

» Short profile

Situated within the largest nature park in Germany, the Altmühl Valley – only a onehour-drive from both Munich and Nuremberg – KU offers all the advantages of a small, conveniently located university. The university has two locations: Eichstätt and Ingolstadt, the latter home to the economic sciences. In both towns, lecture halls, cafeterias, computer centers and libraries are situated close together. Thanks to this, contact between students, professors, and lecturers develops easily on campus. Student exchange with some 150 partner universities worldwide ensures an international atmosphere.

KU welcomes students of all religious affiliations. The exchange of ideas among people of various religious confessions is seen as the basis of mutual understanding and respect. The University’s Catholic orientation means that research results as well as everyday behavior are points of careful consideration and concern. For example, business ethics and journalistic ethics are fixed elements of the respective academic programs. The University strives to be an academic community that imparts both expert knowledge and social competence at the same time.
